Collection: Sublimation Printing

The unheard, underestimated style of printing.

You're probably thinking I've never heard of it; I'm not interested. Most people do. But have you ever wondered how someone has got their logo printed onto a t-shirt and you can't feel it? Or how logos are printed onto a mug? This is your answer.

Sublimation is a process where ink is pressed into a material releasing colours of dye. This means there's no extra layers to peal, fade or pucker.

Why would you use it? The only time sublimation can't be used is if you're printing onto a black or dark coloured garment or you are set on wearing 100% cotton. Sublimation needs to be a light garment to allow the dyes to be absorbed and have polyester in the material. This doesn't mean you need to have one of those slippery shiny white sport tops, we have grey t-shirts that are a blend of polyester and cotton and wouldn't know the difference.

Lots of people are unsure whether to try it, surely it will fade or wash out? You must be able to feel the ink? Every customer we have managed to get them to try have come back for another order because they were amazed.

The printing can be washed on any normal cycle with other clothes, ironed or tumble dried as normal too.

Sublimation is also used on towels, blankets, cushions, bags, hats, water bottles, mugs, keyring, phone cases, photo panels, pencil cases, swim bags, tote bags and the list goes on.
